SK Geo One — Drone, GIS & DGPS Survey in Salem, Tamil Nadu

About SK Geo One

SK Geo One, based in Salem, Tamil Nadu, offers advanced drone-based PPK surveying and mapping services for land, construction, mining, agriculture, forestry, and government projects. We deliver precise property boundary mapping, topographic surveys, contour mapping, and area measurements, along with construction progress monitoring, earthwork and cut-fill analysis, and corridor mapping for roads, canals, and railways.

Our services extend to quarry and mine monitoring, farm and plantation mapping, and forest boundary and encroachment monitoring. We provide accurate deliverables including orthomosaics, DSM, DTM, DEM, contours, 3D models, point clouds, CAD drawings, and GIS shapefiles. Every survey is backed by DGPS and GNSS ground control, so the coordinates behind each deliverable are as reliable as the imagery itself. Trusted for precision, speed, and reliable data across Tamil Nadu — read more about our company and team.

Our Services

Drone Survey (PPK): high-precision aerial data capture for land parcels and large sites. DGPS / GNSS Ground Control: centimetre-level ground control points that anchor every survey to true coordinates. Topographic & Contour Mapping: boundary surveys, contour maps, and area measurements. Construction Progress Monitoring: recurring flights tracking earthwork and cut-fill volumes. Quarry & Mine Monitoring: volumetric stockpile analysis for active operations. Agriculture & Forestry Mapping: plantation boundaries, crop area assessment, and encroachment monitoring. GIS & CAD Deliverables: orthomosaics, DSM, DTM, DEM, point clouds, CAD drawings, and GIS shapefiles ready for immediate use. See the full breakdown on our services page.

Leadership

SK Geo One is led by Shakil Khan and Kishore Kumar, both Founder & Geospatial Technology Directors with an M.Sc. in Geology and years of combined experience in drone survey, DGPS/GNSS surveying, photogrammetry, and geospatial data processing. Both are Licensed Medium Category Drone Pilots overseeing survey planning, field operations, and data processing on every project, so every job is directly supervised by a qualified, licensed pilot rather than handed off unsupervised. How We Work

Every project starts with a site-specific flight plan — we review the area, decide the required ground resolution, and place DGPS/GNSS ground control points before the drone ever takes off. Flying with PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) positioning means each image is tagged with survey-grade coordinates, not just consumer-grade GPS, which is what lets our final deliverables hold up to engineering and legal scrutiny. After the flight, the raw imagery is processed into orthomosaics, digital surface and terrain models, contours, and point clouds, then checked against the ground control before anything is handed over to the client.

Industries We Serve

Landowners and property developers rely on us for boundary verification and area measurement before sale, purchase, or development. Construction companies use recurring drone flights to track earthwork and cut-fill progress against their project timeline. Quarry and mining operators use volumetric analysis to monitor extraction and stockpile volumes over time. Farmers and plantation owners use our mapping to confirm plantation boundaries and assess crop area, while government and infrastructure projects use our corridor mapping for roads, canals, and railway alignments. If you're not sure which service fits your project, send us a query and we'll help you figure out what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is PPK surveying? PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) surveying corrects a drone's raw GPS data against a fixed ground reference point after the flight, giving centimetre-level positional accuracy instead of the few-metre accuracy of a standard consumer GPS.

What areas does SK Geo One cover? We're based in Salem and serve clients across Tamil Nadu for land, construction, mining, agriculture, forestry, and government survey projects.

What do I actually receive after a survey? Depending on the project, deliverables can include orthomosaics, DSM, DTM, DEM, contour maps, 3D models, point clouds, CAD drawings, and GIS shapefiles — see the services page for a full breakdown of each.

How is drone survey different from a traditional land survey? A traditional ground survey measures points one at a time with hand-held instruments, which is accurate but slow for large or difficult terrain. A drone survey captures thousands of overlapping images across the entire site in a single flight, then processes them into a complete, continuous dataset — covering far more ground in far less time, while still anchored to the same DGPS-grade accuracy a traditional survey relies on.

Whether you need a one-off boundary survey or ongoing monitoring across multiple site visits, SK Geo One plans each flight around what the project actually needs — there's no fixed package here, just accurate data delivered on the timeline your project runs on.
